It also has anti-inflammatory components including iridoid glycosides and flavonoid antioxidants quercetin and aucubin that actively protect the iris and the overall health of the eye. In particular the iridoid glycosides may help to prevent macular degeneration by supporting the circular patch of yellow pigmented tissues called the macula lutea. Eyebright is often prescribed where there is watery nasal discharge, as seen in rhinitis, colds and flu’s. With high levels of anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties, Eyebright boosts the immune responses of the body to actively fight infections and help any eye infections such as conjunctivitis and pink eye.

I have suffered from hayfever for years, itchy eyes, foggy head, tiredness and sore joints. Recently I have been taking prescribe antihistamines every day to sort out the issues. I visited O2B Healthy in Nelson and saw the product there and thought I'd give it a go. I was really surprised that it actually works as well as my prescribed tablets, so i've stopped taking those and now use this product instead. It also works very quickly to relieve the symptoms.
